Open Textbooks
Open textbooks can help alleviate the burden of textbook costs for students and provide faculty with content that can be customized for their courses. Open textbooks are full, real textbooks used by many faculty nationwide and licensed to be freely used, edited, and distributed.
Scheduling a Workshop
PALSave presenters offer in-person and virtual workshops about open educational resources (OER) to faculty and staff at PALNI-supported institutions. You can schedule a workshop for your campus by filling out a request form; additionally, an all-PALNI workshop is typically held via Zoom each semester. Each workshop ends with a call to action to complete an OER Brief Review ($100) or OER Textbook Review ($300), and/or apply for a Course Redesign Grant ($700).
