PALNI runs a shared instance of Omeka-S, a web publishing platform designed specifically for sharing digital collections and creating online exhibits. It is widely used by libraries, museums, archives, and academic institutions to showcase and manage their digital content.

  • Omeka S User Manual: This manual covers how to use Omeka S in-depth. Omeka S is for institutions managing a sharable resource pool across multiple sites.
  • Omeka: A User’s Guide: This LibGuide, from Illinois University Library, gives a succinct overview of the three versions of Omeka: Omeka S, Omeka Classic, and Omeka.net (the web-based version of Omeka Classic).  It also provides an introduction to building online exhibits with Omeka.net.
