INDIANAPOLIS— The Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI) has officially launched a new name, logo, and website for its open publishing services, the PALNI Open Press. Visit the new website.
The PALNI Open Press offers a suite of open-source and open-access publishing platforms, enabling the dissemination of scholarly, creative, and educational content from PALNI-supported institutions. This service allows for the creation and hosting of open access publications, including journals, textbooks, monographs, and digital exhibits—all without the costs typically associated with program design, platform maintenance, or hosting.
The PALNI Open Press aims to provide equal, equitable, and free access to content for users worldwide. PALNI’s Publishing Services Support Team is available to offer consultation and support to institutions utilizing the service.
The recent name change, from "PALNI Press" to "PALNI Open Press," was made to better reflect the platform’s open publishing model. The new website features the same robust publishing platforms, along with updated resources, author profiles, a streamlined catalog, and more.
See the new PALNI Open Press website and branding, and reach out to PALNI's Scholarly Communications Director, Amanda Hurford, or Strategic Communications Director, Molly Reed, with questions or feedback.
