Participate in the PALSave Professional Development Interest Survey!

Are you curious about what faculty think about collaboration, designing instruction, and professional development? The PALSave: PALNI Affordable Learning Team is. If you teach at a PALNI-supported institution, we want to hear from you. The results of the PALSave Professional Development Interest Survey will help us to design professional learning and collaboration opportunities that align with the current needs and preferences of faculty.

The survey should take 10-25 minutes to complete, depending on how many of the free-responses you choose to answer. All questions are optional, and you can remain entirely anonymous. You may elect to identify which institution you teach at; if we receive at least 5 responses from an institution we will share aggregate data. This can help librarians at your school better understand your perspective and how to connect you with resources.

Some early findings:

• 80% of respondents (so far) are interested in collaboration with faculty in their subject area at other PALNI institutions.
• About 40% of respondents collaborate with peers at least monthly to find or create instructional materials.
• When designing a course, 70% of respondents use resources from professional organizations compared to 39% that use the library.
